Mortal Kombat is the 12th main installment in the Mortal Kombat series of fighting video games. It is a reboot of the franchise and was developed by NetherRealm Studios and published exclusively by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The game was released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 systems in April 2012, and a PlayStation Vita port was released in May 2012. Beign as Mobile version for the Android and iOS devices as free-to-play. An expanded version of the game, titled Mortal Kombat 20th Anniversary Edition, was released for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Windows in February 2013 and for Wii U in July 2013.
